This Canneseries award-winning show, penned by Sophie Goodhart, has been renewed following a successful initial run that garnered critical praise and sparked discussions online regarding its portrayal of a romance with a significant age difference. In its debut season, Nicola Walker's character, Alice, faces distress when her close friend Steve, played by Jemaine Clement, begins a relationship with her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy. Alice's attempts to sever the budding romance lead to an unexpected conflict, transforming a cherished friendship into an intense rivalry.
