Zeiler is expected to formally accept this honor at the 54th International Emmy Awards Gala, an event scheduled for November 23rd in New York City. Bruce L. Paisner, President and CEO of the International Academy, lauded Zeiler for his pivotal role in developing and guiding some of the most influential media enterprises globally, navigating the television sector through transformative eras. Paisner further remarked on Zeiler's impressive business acumen, which is consistently complemented by a profound respect for the artistic talent and narrative craft central to the industry.

Over his more than thirty-year career in international television, Zeiler has been a prominent figure, holding key leadership positions across various broadcasting and media organizations. His extensive career includes roles such as secretary general of Austria's public broadcaster ORF and CEO of the prominent European broadcaster RTL Group. He also served as President of Turner Broadcasting System's International division. In 2020, he took on the role of president at WarnerMedia International. Following the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery in 2022, Zeiler was instrumental in integrating the international operations of both companies, overseeing leadership, content distribution, and streaming strategies. In his current capacity at Warner Bros. Discovery, he has been a driving force behind the international growth of HBO Max, expanding its reach from a localized service to over 130 countries in just three years. Zeiler expressed deep gratitude for the award, highlighting his lifelong passion for media and his early understanding of television's capacity to unite people and offer insights into diverse cultures and perspectives. He emphasized the necessity of comprehending both global trends and local specificities in the international television business.
